Raft With Us! is a Sports project aimed at extending the impact and contribute to more community engagement, more inclusion and more outdoor activities for individuals facing fewer opportunities. The number of inclusive and accessible outdoor activities within the local communities of our partners is limited and the project aims to change that by capacitating youth workers to be more collaborative, to create more initiatives but also create the conditions for collaboration to thrive, with sharing of resources, good practices and the fostering of a collective approach to the promotion of inclusivity in local communities.
The project is at the same time capacitating the partners’ capacity to organize rafting events, supporting inclusion at local events and actively promoting rafting as a leisure and inclusive sport.
Raft with Us! includes four international mobilities, all training courses in rafting, happening in each of the countries of the consortium. The international trainings aim to bring together youth workers, members and volunteers from all partner organizations to master not only rafting techniques and equipment but also learn how to develop practical strategies to raise inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, using outdoor activities.
